A lot can be written here, but space will cut it short. Soon there will be photos of chapter doings. For now here is a sample of things to come.
The first thing we need to do is applaude Wayne Nurmi for his 110% effort. Wayne got tired of looking at our Huey sitting on the ground with a crappy paint job. So with his can do attitude, it's up and looking good. No messin' around for Wayne, lets quit talkining and just do it. And that's what he did. Alot of guys worked on it, but Wayne "got 'er done!" So a Big Thanks to Wayne for grabbing the bull. I think it would still be sitting on the ground with a crappy paint job if not for Wayne.
And we also need to Thank Arvo Lyyski and Steve Lubbicka. Arvo built the mount and Steve welded the pipe. Along with alot of other work I might add. There was many of us working on it and I can only say, it looks great!
The pilot and co-pilot are in full flight suits and pilot helmets, complete with visors. And they sure look realistic sitting in there. There is still some touch-up painting to be completed and a couple of covers to be put back on. after that it will be 100% done.
We have to build something to put and protect the log book in. Yes we have the original log for #17599 ! A pretty good history is in our hands. The landscaping will be completed next spring.

Here are the names of those who were there on Thursday, October 16, 2008 to help put it up. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. If I did, please let me know.
